Overview

Attracting and retaining the right talent is an ever-evolving challenge. Successful resourcing and talent management demands robust strategy, consistent execution and ongoing evaluation and adjustment. This course is designed to give you the tools you need to deliver every aspect of this multifaceted endeavour.

Studying for an Advanced Award in Resourcing and Talent Management will equip you with the knowledge, credibility and expertise to develop and evaluate resourcing and talent management strategies. You’ll learn how to develop plans that fit your organisation’s needs and discuss best practice recruitment and selection techniques. You’ll even be exposed to the latest thinking in digital and social media for recruitment and resourcing.

This is a fast-track qualification programme, which means you will only attend one week of face-to-face workshops with the remaining assessment completed within eight weeks after the workshops.

Kerry Forster

Kerry is an experienced HR Practitioner and Consultant with in-house and independent operational and strategic experience in HR and L&D gained across a range of business sectors operating in global matrix management organisations as well as SME’s.

Kerry has a degree in Psychology is educated to post graduate level in HR and Coaching and Mentoring and is a qualified Assessor and Verifier being an expert in assessment and verification in the professional development / qualification arena. She is currently an Experience Assessor and volunteer Upgrade Assessor for the CIPD and works on CIPD mixed mode qualifications at levels 3, 5 and 7

A Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and member of the CIPD Chiltern Branch committee she is also a Member of the BPsS with BPsS Certificates in Occupational Testing (level A and B) and she is qualified in MBTI step 1 and SHL OPQ 32

Wendy Strohm

Wendy is an HR consultant specialising in learning and development and coaching. Wendy facilitates, delivers and assesses a range of CIPD training and qualifications at all levels, as well as delivers coach and manager training externally. Wendy provides coaching supervision, business and executive coaching to a number of clients, making use of training in NLP, transactional analysis and psychometric profiling. Wendy is a Chartered Fellow of CIPD, CMI, ILM and RSA as well as other professional associations, holds an MA in HRM and teaching, business and coaching degrees. Wendy has been involved in steering development of national occupational standards in both HR and in coaching and mentoring.

As well as coaching, mentoring, learning and development, Wendy’s background is in generalist HR covering: organisation design and development through merger and acquisitions support; recruitment and talent development through implementation of succession planning and career development schemes for organisations, and in employee engagement through a range of methods.

Wendy is also an assessor for CIPD membership, as well as managing an external quality team and carrying out external approvals for CIPD qualifications.

Wendy now enjoys the variety freelance work brings, meeting new people and sharing new experiences, as well as the resulting continuous professional development opportunities.

Allyson Weeks

Alyson has worked as an HR practitioner for the last 20 years with a broad range of businesses from SM to Blue Chip; leading and delivering HR and development programmes to meet business objectives, both as a consultant and manager. She has led on the design, delivery and implementation of business skills programmes, change projects, succession planning, talent management, the entire recruitment life cycle and learning & development programmes. Alyson has a facilitative style and her programmes are known to be interactive and fun.
